Did my research before buying and so glad I decided to give it a try!I have medium length, thick, wavy and frizzy hair and it works awesome! So easy to use! I wouldn’t say that it is faster than a flat iron because I am very particular about my hair, but I do love the volume that it leaves in my hair compared to a flat iron. My hair feels less damaged and much more manageable.If you’re thinking and researching about it, just GET IT! It doesn’t hurt to try.

Works good but not as I expected. We bought this for my 12 year old step daughter thinking that she could use it herself and just comb through her hair to straighten it but you have to comb underneath the hair and not on top like a regular brush. It works well though but we still need to do it for her because it gets hot on both sides of the brush.

This was an item I was very curious to try. I have tried so many different hair tools and always going back to my flat iron because the tool never straightens like it says when I saw this is was like hmm I wonder if this is like every other brush that supposedly straightens!! I am very impressed with this and it makes straightening my hair a quick and easy process!! I also have very thick wavy hair!!

This product straighten fairly well. My daughter has natural curly hair and I find the this brush works good to main the straightness but not to go from curly to straight without first using a flat iron.I can imagine that this brush would be fantastic to straighten already straight or wavy hair textures.

I have thick, curly hair, and I shy away from straightening it because it can easily take 45 minutes. This straightening brush doesn’t quite replace a traditional hair straightener, but it does take a lot less time. I can easily get my hair 90% straight in about 10 minutes.Keep in mind that this doesn’t get your hair PERFECTLY straight, but I actually prefer how it keeps some volume at the roots. I also like that it is virtually impossible to burn yourself, especially considering I consider at least one minor finger-burn a part of the hair straightening process!A word of warning: I had to wait at least 10 minutes for the brush to heat up to the right temperature. I like how you can see the temperature moving up degree by degree, but it still takes a long time.

I like this it is very easy to use and works great EXCEPT if you have hair extensions you cant use it when I read it on the box when I received it I was disappointed but I will keep it and use it if and when I remove my extentsions!!!!!

I was surprised at how quickly and easily this straightened my hair. We are talking Marcia Brady straight hair with no bend at the ends. I’m still working on trying to perfect a bit of a curl under with this, but it definitely straightened my thick wavy/curly hair in about 10 minutes as opposed to the 45 it takes with a blowdryer and 30+ it takes with a straight iron.It definitely requires that you keep tension on the hair as you pull it through, but follow the enclosed directions and you’ll be happy.

Wonderful product. I’m African American and71 years old. I stopped using pressing combs a long time ago; no matter how careful I was they broke off my hair. This is qmazing, and so is the price!! I am having shoulder surgery on Monday, so I needed something I could easily use one-handed to tame my mane for work. The instructions say to section your hair, but you don’t even need to if you’re just smoothing it or giving yourself a basic style. My hair stayed neat and shiny all day, even though the wind was blowing extremely hard. Love it!!!!

I personally love this! I have very curly hair and I have lost many brushes in my hair due to my thick curls. Since I have to put oil/moisturizer on my hair/scalp, I found this tool most useful on my wigs and hairpieces. I have not found a way to use this on my natural hair as of yet since the directions specifically state to not put any product on the hair when using. It does make my wigs/hairpieces look great though! My daughter suggested to try to use this a few days after oiling/moisturizing my hair/scalp which I’ve not done yet. After I do, I will update this status.

My hair is naturally curly/wavy, but it also has a mind of its own. I never know what it’s going to look like if I air dry it. If I decide I don’t like it, I can plug in my brush and straighten it right into the look that I want. Also, for some reason I was expecting it to make a noise. It’s completely silent like a flat iron.

This is a nice product but it gets very hot, so you need to be careful with your hair. I have really straight hair and wanted something to smooth…. this brush just doesn’t give me that shiny straight hair look I wanted. I think it’s better for people with a bit of curl to their locks. I finally got a flat iron and I prefer it for my type of hair…… long, fine, thick….

I have tried every straightener there is that claims to be the best and works on thick curly hair and I’ve spent way more than I’m proud to admit on these so called miracle straighteners. Well, I had yet to find one that could quickly straighten my VERY thick wavy/curly hair without going over it two to three times, UNTIL I TRIED THIS! Let me just say, Wow! I have had this straightener for about 6 months now and it still works just as good as the first time using it and still heats up quickly. Straightening my hair used to take an hour, literally, but it only takes me about 15-20 minutes and 30 minutes of my hair is still damp, which I don’t recommend with any straightener, but I use this while my hair is somewhat damp and it still works great. The ONLY downside for this straightener, is that it is a little heavy, but it’s still well worth every penny! This brush works well. The only problem is the small black bristles started falling out from the first time I used it. I don’t use it more than a couple times a week cause the heat dries out my hair so I am concerned how long it will last with the bristle situation. But it does straighten hair with little fuss.

I have 4c low porosity hair and this did the job to straighten it but not completely. Just enough to put it in one after washing it. If you use a straightening iron after using this, it’s a lot better and easier.

While visiting my best friend in Texas, I used her Simply Straight straightening brush. We went shopping to try to find it but I was unsuccessful. Since then, I tried others but they did not have the bristles throughout that Simply Straight has, and they were returned. I decided to order a Simply Straight for myself. I liked how the Simply Straight brush did not flatten my hair like a straightening iron. It kept the body I had after blow drying my hair. I used the Simply Straight throughout my hair and it gave it lift! I combed it through my styled hair and voila! I had manageable hair, along with body!

I bought this after the recommendation of a friend…best money I’ve spent in a while. I can use it on a lower heat setting when my hair is wet and raise the temp after drying to get full straightening potential. 10 minutes and my hair is straight. For someone who doesn’t have a lot of time in the morning to use a flat iron to straighten my hair this is amazing!!!

My 1st simply straight brush lasted a good 5 yrs. It actually still works but some of the black protective nubs on the brush have since come off, so it was time to replace.This brush is easy to use and straightens coarse hair… just make sure hair is brushed and blown dry first so you don’t have kinks and coils to brush through. I still flat iron my hair afterward, but using this brush first cuts down on the flat iron time tremendously. For me the flat iron is needed to impart shine and add a little more styling control. I have thick African American natural hair (no relaxer) with 4C type coil/curl.

I got this product for my mom who has no patience for styling her hair. She loves to have her hair flat ironed BUT is not patient enough to do it. She has slightly wavy thick blond hair that is just shorter than shoulder length. This is relevant because first she blow drys her hair with the hair dryer. She does not use this product to dry her hair nor do I think it is intended to do so. The brush-like design is a help and a hinderance. It is easier and safer for my mom to brush her hair with this 400 degree hair straightener except for the fact that the product’s instructions state that the device be run underneath the hair not over the hair, the way most of us typically brush our hair. The length of my mom’s hair makes using this device as directed (underneath) dangerous and she’s burned herself a few times. So please use caution if you purchase this product. It does a nice job but does require patience like everything else.

I am Caucasian female with long wavy, poofy hair. THIS WORKS EXACTLY THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO! I usually have to wash my hair, blow dry and then flat iron to get a nice smooth look. This morning I woke up, dry hair in disarray (I washed it the night before) I sprayed some of the ArtNaturals Thermal hair protector on and went to town on my hair! My hair was completely straight and smooth within 5 minutes of brushing through. My boyfriend even watched me and he was amazed as well. Would def recommended this.

I love this brush. As someone with super poofy hair and no patience for a straightener every day this is perfect. It took me a couple tries to perfect my technique (you want to brush from the underside of your hair outwards not the outside in) but once I did it was off to the races. I use this in the morning in place of my regular hairbrush and I’m ready within ten minutes to go out and the hold stays all day (or as long as it would with a traditional straightner).

I love this product. I am an black woman who has natural hair which is thick and very coarse. I have tried flat irons, instyler, etc over the years and nothing worked. The best hair straightener I’ve ever used, and I’ve had long, curly hair for decades. My waist-length hair can be straightened in 20 minutes! And I love how I can add fullness to my hair just by brushing the hair up from my scalp. Doesn’t appear that it will work well on short hair, though.One con: controls are on the handle right where you have to hold onto the brush. They need to be moved either up or down the handle so you don’t keep changing the settings while using it.

Love this straightening brush. It has literally saved me so much time in the morning when straightening my hair. Takes those unruly waves out right fast. I would give it 5 stars had the tiny rubber pieces on the tips of the bristles stayed on. Not that its a real problem but they keep falling off.

I tried hard to avoid the fad but then finally succumbed to trying this product out. It does do what is advertised, it straightens hair. It does a great job at straightening hair but I also have a few reservations. Because they have to put the heating elements into the bristles” of this “brush” the bristles are much larger than the bristles of a regular brush. My reservations are as follows:the large bristles can damage tight/tightly curled hair; it can/should only be used in one direction or it can damage hair; overuse/too much heat can damage hair; I think that it may require certain techniques for proper use and in order to minimize hair damage. I think it would have been helpful to know these things before purchasing this item but I think proper training (videos) and practice are required to use this product safely and effectively.”

I got this for my mom per her request. We used it for the first time today & it worked great. She has very thick, wavey/curly hair so we put it on high. It worked really well and shr loved it. This product would also be great for anyone who has issues with their hands or arms, which is why my mom wanted it. She has MS & has limited mobility when it comes to her hands. This product will be much easier for her to use as opposed to a regular straightener.

Yeah it’s easy to use but if you have a lot of hair like lemme it takes very very long cus you have to use very small pieces to get it to look nice and flat. I have long curly to wavy hair.

I was skeptical about this but it works great!!!! I have coarse, long, thick hair. This is great to straighten hair quickly and effectively. For very, very straight hair I still go to my flat iron. But for everyday use this is perfect. For example I wear my hair up for work. If I am heading out after work and don’t have time to do my hair I can use this straightener to get the ponytail bulge” out of my hair very quickly. And it will also get the frizz out.”
