This look like a very nice product. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to use it because I melted it in the convection microwave while was preheating it. Number one rule is to remember it’s in the microwave if you have the convection oven feature on the microwave. 🙄

I had one just like this over 10 years ago and couldn’t find it when i unpacked this past year. I was using paper towels over my plates and bowls in the microwave to prevent splattering. But the cost of paper towels!!! I looked and found the exact one i had before. The best thing about this one, which differed from most others, is there are built in magnets at the top which allows it to hold to the inside top of your microwave when not in use. If, your microwave has a level inside top. Either way, it’s so convenient, easy to clean and never holds any odors. So happy they still make this!

Whoever designed this is a genius!! I love that the splatter shield is always conveniently in the microwave for those who have struggled with getting the family to use one!It sticks to both the inside and the outside of the microwave. If I am microwaving something with a cover I just move the shield to under the microwave. My new favorite kitchen “must have”!!

I heat hot and spicy frozen chicken wings in my microwave frequently. I got tired of scrubbing off the orange splatter in my microwave. My sister has one of these and I really loved it so I bought one for myself. There’s magnets on the top of the dome so you can hang it from the top of the microwave when not in use. I do wish it was a little bit wider but all in all it’s a great product.

So far very pleased with this item. It solves a number of issues I have had with other covers.Beyond mere convenience, it’s a real life-saver. I’m disabled, so standing to clean my microwave on a regular basis is just not possible. This cover keeps the microwave clean for very long periods, and washes up easily by hand or dishwasher. Also, due to my disability, handles on top of most splatter covers are almost always out of my reach. These low handles are well within reach and the light weight allows me to use one hand. Having low vents/handles also keeps my hands and fingers safe from the burn risk of hot steam. Most other covers have those shallow, smooth, sloping pinch-handles that just slip out of my fingers (I’ve never understood that design). I’ve thrown away half a dozen other covers because poor design makes them more of a pain to use than not. The fact that this cover stores conveniently inside the microwave solves another issue I have with finding cabinet storage space that’s within my reach. It’s large enough to fit over even my full size dinner plates.I’m very impressed with the design. My one complaint is the magnets could be a tiny bit stronger so the cover would just snap into place. As it is, they just barely hold the cover up, so that’s mildly annoying. Even with that, I highly recommend this item for everyone.

My husband and I have four kids so this product is an important kitchen staple. We have tried a similar product in the past and the magnet didn’t work well. This magnet easily sticks and has not worn over time, and it is not too magnetic. You can grab with one hand to cover your item. It is not too big and it isn’t too small. Just the right size. Now, we only need to get them to use it all of the time!

So my sister purchased on of these from the on-tv add I think; I saw and used it at her house and loved it. it stuck to the top of her microwave inside great and was easy to pull down over a plate when needed.I saw them on amazon and ordered one and it was nicely. The only issue is that I have a very small 700 watt microwave and this thing actually sits over the outside of the glass turntable in the microwave so the distance from stuff on the turntable is a bit shorter. It also means that as the glass turntable is spinning this isn’t in my microwave where in hers it sits on the glass turntable and turns with the plate and food. I still use it but it a bit fussier to use in a small microwave. Not much to be done for it as a smaller one wouldn’t work at all as a standard plate is as big as the glass turntable in my smaller microwave and if this was of a size to fit the turntable the it would not fit over a plate.I say it has bout 75% of the functionality in my microwave that it does in my sisters larger one but that it is still worth it.

Had to get this as we used paper plates to cover our food and they did not always cover completely and we were wasting paper plates. This fits nicely in our microwave and just sticks to the top when finished using. Easy to grab due to the side curving up to allow a space for such grabbing. My mother has a similar plastic cover with no magnets and it was inconvenient moving it out of the way before placing food, especially liquids. This is definitely nice and convenient and quality made. I looked at cheaper ones, but glad I spent the extra for this one!

I like this microwave splatter guard because it’s easy to store right inside the microwave, easy to pull down over my plate, and easy to clean. I’ve had two other types in the past. One was magnetic but flexible and could be adjusted to different heights, but that one tended to flop around and not be sturdy enough. Another had no magnets, so I never found a good place to store it outside the microwave where it would be handy. This one is more rigid plastic and its magnets make it easy to attach to the top of the microwave. (Note: my microwave has a mostly metal inside top that provides plenty of space for the magnets. If yours has plastic on non-metal top, you may not be able to attach it.) The magnets are not super-strong, but do the job fine. The product does seem more expensive than necessary (seems like it should be $15-$20 rather than $25), but I’m satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it if your microwave can accommodate it.

I like that it’s magnetic and is out of the way and can be stored in the microwave. It states that you must take it out if it’s not down and over your food. So if you microwave a tall cup of coffee, it has to be out of the Microwave.
